English Language Challenges

Hello everyone, today I will tell you about my experience learning English at university. Despite the fact that this semester I was with thousands of things to do and few times I was able to connect synchronously to the classes, I highly value the teaching and the material delivered by the teacher in both English III and English IV, it was very interesting to be able to read a little about my peers on their blogs, know their tastes, their studies and their way of seeing art, which is surely something that marks the day to day of each one, and I find these types of tasks to be a very good way to exercise the way of writing in English, because despite the fact that one continually uses it, it is not always used to write large extensions of ideas and that is very interesting.  Since I went to high school, I have known that one of my biggest obstacles when it comes to learning English is my pronunciation, I consider that I have very good ability to write and read English, but spe...

Changes to my study programme

Since I started studying Sound Engineering at the Faculty of Arts, one of the things that most caught my attention, unlike other institutes that taught the career, was the completeness and diversity of the curriculum of the career. I had absolutely all those things that interested me when I was in high school, among them, music, obviously, technology and science. That was the reason why I entered to study, however now that I have been studying for almost 3 years, I have realized that there have been certain shortcomings within the university. One of the main complications that should be able to be solved is the infrastructure of the building, since there are many students who have struggled to improve this aspect and progress has been made in a not very efficient way. In addition, although the Sound Engineering career has the necessary professional audio equipment to learn, much more progress is needed in the use of technology and in the way in which the use of it is managed. I fe...

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Honestly, one of the things that I have realized that I would like to do when I finish my degree is to specialize in certain areas that have caught my attention, especially this year. I know that everything I have learned constitutes a very good foundation for my training as a sound engineer and artist, but I would love to be able to continue learning much more about music production, especially mixing, mastering and recording techniques. I would also like to do some kind of study in the area of architectural acoustics, since I would like to be able to carry out measurements and simulations of rooms dedicated to professional sound. It is a fairly unknown area here in Chile and research has only recently begun. Regarding music production, I would love to be able to specialize in mixing, since I consider that much of what I have learned has been more through self-taught work than in university, I would love to know more music, genres and open my musical ear more to have the a...
