My future job


Good evening everyone, today I will talk about my future job, hopefully so.

One of the reasons why I am studying Sound Engineering is because I love music production. I make, play and produce my own ideas and during the last years I have managed to develop my skills in a pretty good way, I have been able to produce some songs by local artists and I have realized that this is what I really like.

I would love to be able to work in a professional recording studio, where I can learn from those people who have been in the field of sound and production for a long time, but also at some point in my professional career I would like to be able to open my own studio, in Iquique, my hometown, because there are very few professional places in the field of sound. I would also like to work in the area of ​​live sound, since I would love to be able to work in concerts, outdoor venues and travel with a band or music festival.

I know I have to work hard to achieve my goals, but despite everything, I will keep going no matter the time or what I have to sacrifice along the way. I would like to be able to make a living from music and to be able to work as an independent music producer, where the artist is the one who has the leading role over the market and the music industry.

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

 Honestly, one of the things that I have realized that I would like to do when I finish my degree is to specialize in certain areas that have caught my attention, especially this year. I know that everything I have learned constitutes a very good foundation for my training as a sound engineer and artist, but I would love to be able to continue learning much more about music production, especially mixing, mastering and recording techniques. I would also like to do some kind of study in the area of ​​architectural acoustics, since I would like to be able to carry out measurements and simulations of rooms dedicated to professional sound. Changes to my study programme

 Since I started studying Sound Engineering at the Faculty of Arts, one of the things that most caught my attention, unlike other institutes that taught the career, was the completeness and diversity of the curriculum of the career. I had absolutely all those things that interested me when I was in high school, among them, music, obviously, technology and science. That was the reason why I entered to study, however now that I have been studying for almost 3 years, I have realized that there have been certain shortcomings within the university.
